How to Install a Hills Extenda Retracting Clothesline
Step By Step Instructions On How To Install An Extenda Retracting Clothesline
The following instructions relate to the installation of the Extenda 6 clothesline, which are extremely similar to the installation of the Extenda 4.
For the installation of this Extenda 6 model, we require a post kit and the tools to help put the post kit in.
Once the position of your clothesline has been chosen, mark the position 50mm above the person's head and the 814mm wide. Remove the two covers from each end of the clothesline with a Phillip's head screwdriver, and then simply line up the mount holes with the masonry hole and insert the fastener. Replace the two end caps with a Philip's head screwdriver.
Now the post kit must be installed, which comes in two sections. The smaller section inserts inside the larger one, adjust the height accordingly. Once the two bolts have been fastened, place the post kit into a hole that is 850 millimeter deep with 200 millimeters of gravel in the bottom. Pour cement around the post kit and leave it to dry.
Once the post kit has been leveled with a spirit level, install the receiving bracket by placing into the holes of the top of the pole with the bolts provided.
To extend the clothesline, pull the two blue caps towards the post kit. Pull the clothesline towards the receiving bracket and click into position. To tension the clothesline, pull the blue lever until it clicks into position. To release the clothesline, return the blue handle to its original position.
